About Colors Finishing

Finishing Is the Whole Job

To most trades, the finish is the last step. To us, it is the entire craft. Colors Finishing exists to do one thing at a professional level: put the right finish on wood and metal, and have it look the same on day one thousand as it did on day one.

The Shop

Built Around the Booth

We are a finishing and coatings contractor based in Englewood, Colorado. Our work covers interior and exterior wood finishes and metal patinas: cabinet packages, millwork, doors, furniture, exterior timbers, railings, hoods, and architectural metal.

Most of our work comes through other professionals. Cabinet shops that build but do not spray. Builders and general contractors who need a finish schedule met. Designers who need a color hit exactly. We fit into your workflow, not the other way around.

Shop work happens under controlled conditions where dust, humidity, and cure times behave. Site work happens with the same discipline: masked, protected, and cleaned up like we were never there.

Color is the trade. Every tone starts as a sample you approve.
What We Stand On

Four Rules of the Shop

Sample First

No production until the color, sheen, and texture are approved on a physical board. Guessing is not a finishing technique.

Prep Is the Finish

Ninety percent of a great finish happens before the gun comes out. Sanding, sealing, and surface prep get the time they need.

Match the System to the Life

A restaurant table and a bedroom dresser do not get the same coating. We specify for the wear the surface will actually take.

Say It in Writing

Scope, schedule, system, and price go in the quote. If something changes, the paper changes first.
